I dont have too much time for a big update, but here are a few cute things that karly has done in the past few days....
She is a giggle monster. Anytime you look at her a certain way, she giggles. She loves Zurbits (especially on her chins!) and loves to be picked up over your head.
She is on solid foods now. So far we have tried Green Beans, Sweet Peas, Carrots, Sweet Potato, Butternut Squash, Banana, and her favorite thus far, Apples. She ate her apple mush so quickly, she was done with hers before BJ was done with his apple. It was pretty cute! and to top it off, when the jar was empty, she took it and tried to eat the jar! she also tried eating her spoon, and i have some cute video footage that I will post tonight.
She loves her Baths. she will play in the water for hours if i let her. I have a feeling swimming will be a very big possibility this summer!
Her bottom teeth are coming in. She has been a bit fussy with their arrival, but she loves this Penguin Wash cloth that we got with one of her bath sets. I put cold water on it, and sometimes stick it in the fridge so it makes her gums feel better.
Karly is loving the floor. She has even started crawling backward!!! Go Karly Go!
Her jumper has been increasingly more and more fun. She will sit in that thing for an hour at a time, content to be jumping and playing with all of the connected toys.
And this brings me to my favorite (and hers) thing... Karly LOVES Dogs...especially Lyla and Dixie. When we were in Louisiana BJ and I took her into a store that had two very adorable English Bull dogs and Karly went wild. She was jumping up and down in her stroller trying to get closer to them. VERY cute. When Karly is anywhere and she sees a dog, she will squeal with delight. Its so adorable. When Karly is in her jumper, Lyla will come over and give her kisses and snuffles (and for anyone who knows Lyla, her kisses are rare!). When Karly is on the floor, Dixie is all about her new playmate. Dixie will bring her the ball, and wait for karly to touch it and roll it before she gently rolls it back. ADORABLE!!!
Another cute little side note: I had Karly in the back yard with me a few days ago. It was so nice, and of course all the bugs were out. Well, a Bee decided to come and scope out the area, and as it was flying close to Karly, Lyla ran from the other side of the yard and snapped at the Bee until it flew away. Way to go Lyla! I just find it so amazing that my dogs are being so protective and loving towards Karly. It makes every day a better day, and every milestone more exciting! I can't wait until Karly is crawling and chasing the girls around! (or can i???)
Hope everyone is doing well! I will update pictures soon!
Love,
Blair Reese
